Seoul, Daejeon, Gyeongju, Yeosu, Busan, Gyeongju, Pyeongchang

Day 1:    Seoul Arrival

Arrive at Incheon International Airport. Meet your local representative who will assist you to board a pre-reserved transfer to your hotel.  Check in and the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2:    Seoul (B/L)

After breakfast, pick up for full day city tour. Visit the Gwanghwamun Gate, the main gate founded by the first king of the Joseon Dynasty and enjoy The Royal Guard Changing Ceremony. Next, explore Gyeongbokgung Palace (Changdeokgung Palace on Tuesday), arguably the most beautiful and the grandest of all five palaces and also visit the National Folk Museum of Korea. Then pass by Blue house, also called Cheong Wa Dae, the presidential residence. Then explore Insadong-gil Street, which is connected to a multitude of alleys that lead deeper into the district, with modern galleries and tea shops and also visit the Jogyesa Temple, the chief temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, becoming so in 1936. Afterward, head to Myeongdong district, one of the busiest places in Seoul and among Korea’s premier shopping destinations and have lunch at a local restaurant. Then explore the Namsangol Hanok Village (Bukchon Hanok Village on Monday) where there are five restored traditional Korean houses and a pavilion, a pond and a time capsule. Next, visit N Seoul Tower, offering panoramic views of Seoul and the surrounding areas. After the tour, transfer to your hotel.

Day 3:    Seoul – Gongju – Daegeon (B/L/D)

After breakfast, leave for Gongju the ancient capital of Baekje Kingdom.  Experience a tea ceremony with a Buddhist monk at Magoksa Temple, a representative temple surrounded by a mountain and rivers in Chungcheongnam-do Province. Next, visit the Tomb of Muryeong King with the wall painting drawn on the number six tomb. Continue to the Gongsanseong Fortress, a mountain castle which was established during the Baekje Period and enjoy an archery experience there. Transfer to Daejeon. After dinner, check in to your hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 4:    Daegeon – Jeonju – Jinan – Gwangju (B/L/D)

After breakfast, leave for Jeonju and visit Jeonju Hanok Village with over 800 traditional Korean houses. After Jeonju Bibimbab lunch at a local restaurant, then visit the Tapsa Temple in Jinan, famous for over 80 stone pagodas built by Lee Gapyong, a retired scholar. Then leave for Gwangju for hotel check in.

Day 5:    Gwangju – Boseong – Suncheon – Yeosu (B/L/D)

After breakfast, head to Boseong Green Tea Plantation that is very beautiful, full of green tea fields and cedar trees. You will also have a chance to taste Boseong Green Tea. Next, visit the Naganeupseong Folk Village to observe the daily dwellings indigenous to the southern provincial area. Then explore the Suncheonman Bay Ecological Park, thickly covered with reeds taller than a full-grown man, and then stop by the Yongsan Observatory to see the bay’s beautiful view.  After dinner, check in to the hotel and rest of day is at leisure.

Day 6:    Yeosu – Jinju – Busan (B/L/D)

After breakfast, take the Yeosu Cable Car offering the safe yet thrilling experience with the gondola to operate over seawater. Enjoy the scenery of downtown Yeosu and the archipelago around the old seaport. Next, visit Jinjuseong Fortress which is historically linked to the Japanese invasion in 1592. Afterward, transfer to Busan and visit Igidae Park, the coastal walking path, famous for its panoramic view of Marine city and Gwangan Bridge. Rest of the day is free for you to explore Haeundae Beach, known for its modern feel. You may spend a fantastic night at cafes and pubs. Also, you can enjoy watching busking along the shoreline as well as Haeundae Market.  After dinner, check in to the hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 7:    Busan – Ulsan – Gyeongju (B/L/D)

After breakfast, head to Ulsan and pass through the world’s largest single automobile plant. Visit Daewangam Park, littered with rocks carved into interesting shapes by the wind and ocean. Next, explore Bulguksa Temple, the representative relic designated as a World Cultural Asset by UNESCO in Gyeongju. Then visit Gyeongju National Museum and Daereungwon Tomb Complex. Before you head to Cheomseongdae Observatory, choose your preferred Hanbok, Korean National Costume and make a special memory wearing Hanbok with your companions. Lunch and dinner will be served enroute at local restaurants. After hotel check in, the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 8:    Gyeongju – Andong  – Wongju – Pyeongchang (B/L/D)

After breakfast, transfer from Gyeongju to Andong and visit Andong Hahoe village, home to descendants of the Ryu clan of Pungsan and well-known for its traditional houses. Then, transfer to Wonju and visit Hanji Theme Park where you can get a chance to experience the Hanji making process. Then, transfer to Pyeongchang. Lunch and dinner will be served enroute at local restaurants. After hotel check in, rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 9:    Pyeongchang – Gangreung – Yangyang – Seoul (B/L)

After breakfast, stop by the Ski Jump Observatory for Olympic Winter Games Pyeongchang 2018 and then explore Jumunjin Seafood Market, including a variety of fresh seafood caught on the east coast.  Transfer to Yangyang for a short hike at the Jujeongol of Mt. Seorak to enjoy the nature. After the tour, transfer to Seoul and check in for your stay. Rest of the evening is at leisure.

Day 10:    Seoul – Departure (B)

Enjoy free time before you transfer to Incheon airport to board your flight back to Canada.
